There are two main different types of leashes. a coiled leash (will come with the majority of our SUPs) is for flat water paddle boarding and a straight leash is suited to surf and catching waves.

To attach your leash to the board, first you'll need to make sure all the Velcro is apart. The string attached to the Velcro will need to be looped through the D-ring or leash attachment point at the back of the board.  You'll be able to create a lark's head knot by putting the knot of the string through itself. Then pass the Velcro through the loop and secure the leash to the board.

Here is a video from Red Paddle Co to walk you through fitting a leash.
